Start/Finish
- Near the Steveston Community Centre (directions to start below), 4111 Moncton St., Richmond

Getting to the start/finish from the Community Centre:
- Begin at the main doors in front of the Steveston Community Centre.
- Cross the street and proceed straight on the sidewalk along Easthope
Ave. You will be going south towards the river.
- Cross Bayview St. at the roundabout and continue south towards the
river onto the concrete walkway that parallels the river (260 metres
from Community Centre to the walkway along the river).
- Turn right on the walkway that parallels the river for 80 metres to
the banner that says "Kajaks".
- You are now at the start and finish.

Facilities & Services
- Parking and washrooms are available at the Community Centre.
- A complimentary bag check will be located in the Community Centre.
All bags must be clearly marked with your race number.
- Water available at start/finish and 4km.
- Toilets at start/finish, 2.3km & 5.7km.
- Paramedics available for First Aid.
- After event refreshments are provided at the Community Centre.
Awards & Draw Prizes
- Medals are presented to the top 3 male and female runners in each of
the following categories:
15 & Under, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49,
50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+
- $700 in prize money for the top two age graded club teams is
provided by General Backup Systems, Joseph Kibur President. See details
below.
- Join us after the race for Draw Prizes. Prize draws will start
approx. 10 mins. after last runner has finished. Must be present to
win.
Club Team Prize Money Details
$700 in prize money for the top two age-graded BC Athletics Clubs is
being provided by General Backup Systems.
- Each club may enter as many members as they wish - male or female,
20 years old or older.
- Winners will be determined by adding the top five age-graded results
(using the 1994 tables) for each club. Highest total wins.
- $400 will be awarded for the first place club, $300 for the second
place club.
- Winning clubs will have to verify that each counting finisher is a
member of their club.
- Affiliation with a club will be automatic if a club was indicated at
the time of registration, or by advising Kajaks prior to the start of
the race.

Late registration & package pickup
- Saturday January 28, 10 am to 4:30 pm at the Run Inn Kerrisdale,
2236 W.41st Avenue, Vancouver. Get 10% discount at the Run Inn
during package pickup.
- Race Day from 7:00 am to 8:15 am, Steveston Community Centre.

- Non-BC Athletics members ADD $3
