The first time we hear a phrase like "corporate greed" it captures our imagination and raises our hackles; but because it is such a succinct and vivid summary of the problem, everyone uses it constantly, with the inevitable result that we grow mental calluses and begin to take it for granted that corporate greed is ubiquitous, unavoidable and even normal.
Tell a lie that is big enough, long enough, and everyone will believe it. Tell a truth that is big enough, long enough, and everyone will ignore it. (2014-05-31)
